About 40 Bremen High School students recently participated in a special yoga session and self-care discussion led by Loi Logan, a licensed therapist, certified yoga instructor, and owner of Evolve Therapy & Yoga in Tinley Park. Logan provided this experience free of charge, and students responded with overwhelmingly positive feedback.

The session focused on the connection between mental and physical well-being. Logan guided students through a series of yoga movements designed to reduce stress, improve focus, and promote relaxation. She also led a discussion on self-care, encouraging students to recognize the importance of taking time for their mental health. She shared practical strategies for managing stress, regulating emotions, and building healthy coping mechanismsā€”skills that can benefit them both in and out of the classroom.

Evolve Therapy & Yoga offers a unique approach by blending traditional counseling with yoga to support emotional and physical wellness. The practice provides individual and family therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills groups, and mindfulness-based yoga sessions for children and adolescents. With over 15 years of experience, Logan has created a compassionate and judgment-free space where young people can explore different techniques to strengthen their mental well-being.

For the students at Bremen, the experience was both refreshing and eye-opening. Many expressed appreciation for the opportunity to slow down, breathe, and learn new ways to care for their minds and bodies. The event highlighted the importance of self-care and showed students how simple practices like yoga and mindfulness can make a big difference in their daily lives.
