Bremen High School’s main gym was filled with energy and professionalism on Thursday as more than 90 students participated in a Mock DECA Competition designed to prepare them for the upcoming sectional event.

Students competed across 27 different DECA role-play events, showcasing their skills in marketing, finance, hospitality, management, and entrepreneurship. Throughout the day, participants practiced real-world business scenarios, presenting solutions and strategies in front of volunteer judges who evaluated their performance and provided valuable feedback.

The event offered students an opportunity to refine their presentation skills, critical thinking, and professional communication in a competitive yet supportive environment.

Bremen High School extends its sincere appreciation to the judges who volunteered their time and expertise: Dr. April Nykaza, Yasmeen Sheikah, Greg Slade, Terry Stephens, and Jordy Martinez. Their thoughtful evaluations and constructive feedback played a vital role in helping students grow and prepare for the next level of competition.

DECA students will put their skills to the test again at the Sectional Competition on Friday, January 23, held at Moraine Valley Community College, where they will compete against students from 18 other high schools across the south region.

Today’s mock competition highlighted the dedication, talent, and professionalism of Bremen’s DECA members as they continue to develop the skills needed for success in college, careers, and beyond.
