Our Save Promise Club has been busy getting ready for our 2024 Say Something Week! Our students will have several opportunities to join in this week. BHS is sending 50 braves to the State of Illinois DECA competition this weekend! This is the largest group in school history to qualify for STATE. Students have been preparing for weeks with their written projects, role plays, marketing materials, and studying for a written exam. When your student will be absent, late, or need an early dismissal, a parent or guardian must call. 24-Hour Voicemail! By calling students in, you are assisting your child stay in class. BHS is proud to announce seniors Talea Carter & Sebastian Bocanegra Macias both earned FULL scholarships through QuestBridge to their respective Universities! Talea will be attending Northwestern University, majoring in Theatre. Sebastian will be attending Wesleyan University in Connecticut, majoring in either Molecular Biology or Mathematics. BHS students Kaylian Alexandre & Anaya Jenkins traveled to the Museum of Science and Industry with Art teacher Mr. Gonzalez to see their art that was displayed as part of the MSI Black Creativity Juried Exhibition. Students had the opportunity to talk with Black and African American artists working in and around the Chicagoland area and had the opportunity to meet former 228 Art teacher, Jean Lewis who has been participating in the MSI BCSE for many years. #BremenBraves @msichicago

Thank you @nuhsedu for hosting Mr. Vivian and a group of Human Anatomy students. The visited to NUHS was to connect the students with conceptual anatomy and a real cadaver, & to show them another opportunity in their choice of careers. #BremenBraves

BHS Circle Book Club hosted Virtual Bedtime Stories. Stories were presented live in a Google meet with staff members & their children. CBC created this event during remote learning as a way to stay connected & to continue sharing their love of reading. #bremenbraves #BremenReads
