For the past four decades, Bremen High Schools' National Honor Society (NHS) and Student Council have come together each fall to organize a community-wide food drive, collecting non-perishable items to support local food pantries in the community. Since its inception in 1985, the Bremen community food drive has collected nearly 400,000 pounds of non-perishable donations. This year marks the 40th anniversary of this tradition!!
Key dates:
November 11th-15th: Donation bag delivery
November 18th-22nd: Donation bag pick up & repacking
Saturday, November 23rd: Donation delivery day

Students from Mrs. Guzak & Mr. Harris' Personal Finance classes got up close to millions of dollars today at the Chicago Money Museum! They learned about the bankers' bank, saw a briefcase of one million dollars, a cube of one million one dollars bills, and learned about the progression of our money throughout the years. BHS National Honor Society & Student Council students are gearing up for the 40th Annual Food Drive! Students will soon be going door to door to distribute food drive donation bags. Once collected, the non-perishables will be redistributed through Bremen’s Micro Pantry and local churches that have programs for distributing. Watch for more information soon!

BHS celebrated Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) today. There was an ofrenda alter set up in the main foyer where students brought in candles and pictures of their loved ones who have passed to celebrate their lives. Students also made paper flowers and painted their faces. Thank you to our World Language & Art teachers for creating this opportunity for our Braves!
